Bjorn Bekkers

My name is Bjorn Bekkers. I was born in 1988 and was raised and still living in the Limburg village of Sint Geertruid, together with my partner. In 2017 I finished my specialisation as a GP at Maastricht University, of which the last year at Poort van Gaveren General Practice. As from January 2018 I am working there with pleasure as a registered GP. Before that I acquired experience as ANOIS in cardiology for a year in the hospital. My choice for Family Medicine is because of the personal contact with patients. To listen to their wishes and search for a suitable solution is something I do like. My affinity within my work is cardio vascular management and small surgical interventions. The breadth of the profession is responsible for the great job satisfaction. I find it essential to deliver good medical practice, but also respond to questions and concerns of my patients.
